Recently, the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City has written to consult 4 Departments of Transport of localities including Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An, Ba Ria - Vung Tau on the plan to coordinate the implementation of the Ring Road 4 project of Ho Chi Minh City. after the parties have agreed, according to the Traffic Newspaper.

To deploy investment in construction of Ring Road 4 under the direction of the Prime Minister, the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City held a meeting with the Departments of Transport of Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An, Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces and related departments. of the city to discuss the contents of investment scale, alignment, investment plan, project progress...

According to the plan, localities will coordinate to complete the pre-feasibility study report of the project in December.

The set goal is to start the project in 2024, open to technical traffic by the end of 2027, and to exploit and collect the payback fee from the first quarter of 2028. Based on the above milestones, localities will develop implementation plans for each segment through their respective management areas.

To achieve this progress, 5 localities need to review the planning, determine the preliminary land area to be recovered; number of affected households with resettlement plan; detailed planning progress, compensation and clearance...

Provinces and cities also study and propose mechanisms to accelerate projects such as: formulating the form of selection of bidding packages, decision-making authority; pre-approval of site clearance boundaries for land acquisition. In order to have enough investment capital, localities will study the issuance of bonds, exploit the land fund along the route...

Previously, in September 2021, the Prime Minister agreed to assign 5 provinces and cities to be competent agencies to invest in sections of Belt 4 through the area. In which, Ba Ria - Vung Tau implements the Phu My - Bau Can section, about 18 km long; Dong Nai makes the section Bau Can - Thu Bien bridge (excluding Thu Bien bridge), 45km long.

Binh Duong province is assigned to build the section of Thu Bien bridge - Saigon river (including Thu Bien bridge), about 49 km long; Long An implements the section of Thay Cai - Hiep Phuoc canal (including the section through Hiep Phuoc area in Ho Chi Minh City) about 71 km long.

Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City built the bridge over the Saigon River - Thay Cai canal (including the bridge over the Saigon River), 17 km long.
